Got a message on the answering machine. These chucklefucks called 'regarding' my late father's estate. SPOILER ALERT: There isn't one. They're ambulance chasers/crypt crawlers who are just trying to take money from unsuspecting, grieving families. Thank God this site pointed them out to me. Will definitely keep ignoring the calls.

I received a message from a Jennifer Condon at Ascension Point from the 888-806-9073 number, ext. 2123 with regard to my step-father's first wife who passed away last year (2017). I was like why in the world are they calling me???? Then I received another message a few days later from a Josh Hobbs from the 888-806-9074 number, ext. 3717 regarding someone named Kathleen Kennedy, who I absolutely don't know. I was about to send my step-dad an email but decided to do a google search and so glad I found this website. Thanks!

So Ascention Point called & like others have mentioned here, wanted to speak with someone who was authorized to speak about the deceased (my brother) financial matters. Since I had no idea my brother had passed (he hadn't) this was quite alarming at first! Any collection company doing this should be fined & closed down for doing such a thing. If my brother had passed, what a way to find out. And if I knew he had passed, how cold to be calling about this at such an emotional time. I'm pretty sure this was all a mistake because I can't imagine my brother has any bills which have gone to collection.
    Again, SHAME on this company!!!

Got several calls on my voice mail about handling the affairs of a deceased relative.  They left a message each time with a contact name and number for me to call back.  They called themselves Assention Point.  I never returned the call.  The number they left for call back was 888-806-9074.

I got several call from this company in the last few day. Concerning who is handling the finances of my deceased wife. She passed in January. I did a White Page search and found it to be a SCAM. Will not return the call and will block the number for what good it will do (other than make me feel better) as they will just use another number. I am handling all of my wife's bills and paying them and up to date. SCUM!!!!

They are for real. The loved one that passes has the debt sent to them when you call the credit card company about the relative passed. Exxon Mobile card was involved with it. Their card is isssed by citi bank. I had called Exxon Mobil’s service to let them know my father had passed. They said they would stop interest immediately and send the issue to a supervisor and send out a message 3 weeks later in the mail. No mail was sent to me . I received a phone call from ascension point 3 weeks later. I called the Exxon Mobil accounting number and they connected me directly to ascension point. I told them why was it put with them, I only wanted to know what they were going going to do about the debt. The debt was only 1400 dollars and the blood sucking [***] do not care about you at all . I settled the misly account and told them to F off ! Also I wanted a certified letter on the settlement. They said if they got anything else put in their system they would contact me again. I told they wouldn’t get anything else because that was the only debt he had.The days of debt write off are gone if the deceased has a estate they can file against if the estate goes into probate.

My wifes father passed away a couple of months ago and we had an attorney start an estate. The bill collectors must file a claim within 90 days with the estate, through the court. Today we receive this bogus letter from Ascension Point Recovery saying we must call them immediately..... and we are thinking now what? I am so glad I read these reviews. I told my wife do not call number and don't ever tell bill collectors you are the Executer. Thanks everyone for posting these comments, saved us from a big headache. They said to call 888-806-9073.

Just days after my fathers passing my mom (who had not spoken to my dad since their divorce 25 years ago) received a call from these people.  My sister called them back from our late fathers phone and quickly deduced that it was a scam.  It's been a few months now and they just called me. AT&T picked it up as "Spam Risk."  How do they sleep at night.
