THIS NUMBER DOES NOT BELONG TO A LAW FIRM.  THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT LAWYERS.  I work in Litigation have a great deal of access to information.  I have confirmed through the Law Society of Upper Canada and my current Ontario Legal Directory.  The company is a collection agency in Woodbrige, Ontario.  Should you receive a call from an individual who identifies themselves as a lawyer or legal representative, ask for their Law Society Identification Number and immediately call the Law Society, take as much information as possible from the person.  Also, contact York Regional Police to inform, as this is fraud.

I am getting daily calls from a gentalman Crcil Douglas who is trying to collect a debt written off. Threatened that they were taking me to court if not paid in 48 hours. I asked for a letter explaining the debt etc.. was refused and now just getting calls. I just contacted the company I'm in debt to and they are not "representing them. What now??? They want me to deposit money into an account through TD Canada trust, no proof.

Got urgent message saying to call back Antoinette from this "law firm," at a toll free number....called the number on caller id and it said it was Palmer & Botcha [sic?] "Professional Corporation" no indication of law firm. Not going to call her back.

Same as eveyone else, they call saying they are lawyers from this law firm and that you have until 5pm today to call with payment or else.  You can't speak to the harsh crude woman that calls she screams at you the whole conversation and makes numerous threats.  Checked the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Society for Ontario these people are frauds claiming to be lawyers

I have kept 4 messages on my machine from this company, all from the same screaming lady who will not let you talk.  She has, by letting my machine record her message, put herself on the line with the lies she has told, I've got everything from having her telling me her bailiff will show up to put a notice on my house about the debt, to her not being able to find a payment I made to the credit card co (even though I have the returned cashed cheque from my bank) & telling me I have now commited fraud by 'lying' to her, amazing!!!  If there's anything I can do or forward this for complaint, please advise me.

i am receiving a call from this number, thanks for all of u guys who shares their experience about the calls. Now i know that this number is something that i wouldn't trust. This number is not even listed in the directory???? a law firm and it's not in the directory!!

I also recieved a call form this company identified themselves as Palmer and baucher law offices. Asked to call Mrs. Kirk @416 637-2592. Total fraud. If you receive a call from these people contact Toronto and York Regional Police to inform, as this is fraud.

Wow, thanks so much for all the info guys. I also received a call from this so called Law Firm "Palmer and Boccia" (Yolanda). I had a debt with my Visa and made arragements to clear off debt, my financial institution debited from my account. This Yolanda said I still owed and they would take legal action against me for interest owed, the Bank Rep who I spoke with earlier had informed me this matter was settled and I no longer owed a balance. I stumbled on this site while trying to search for the "firm" contact information online, and as another person mentioned a real Law Firm is listed and you are able to search the name on any provinces law society. Thanks alot to everyone who posted comments...I refuse to be a potential "Fraud Victim".

Owe Cdn Tire MC. Got a call from Andrew at Palmer & Boccia. Claimed to be a law firm that had already filed a small claims suit. If I made payments to them through the TD Bank I would not have to go to court.
Told me to call 888-858-5529 if a problem.
I am still trying to get confirm from Cdn Tire MC.

I have received numerous phone calls from a Mr. Bob Wilson from Palmer and Bochia (sic) over the last few months regarding a Visa card that I had paid off in full four years ago.  When I called the number back and received an automatic answering machine, there was no Mr. Wilson in the directory and got suspicious.  I left a message in teh general mailbox asking for proof, in writing, that there was a balance owing and have for an explaination as to why TD Canada Trust waited four years to collect, as I had received no statements indicating a balance on this card. I haven't had the card in four years. I received no answer and was threatened with court action if I didn't pay up. I now get daily calls and faxes to my home and workplace. I'm glad I found this webpage as I was tempted to pay the balance owing just to but an end to the harassment. Now They will not get a dime out of me. Thank you everyone

I have also recieved calls from this rude woman claiming she represents Palmer and Boccia A Law firm! The last time I spoke with her she told me I was in debt to Cdn Tire MC and threatened court action! I also almost paid the debt until they called my cell phone and i didnt recognize the number and tried looking it up through yellow pages and found these comments by others who have been involved with this "Law Firm" The funny thing is when talking to this person I asked if i could make payments to reduce the debt she told me they do not accept payments....then after telling her to take me to court  she informed me they would take payments of $300.00. I responded by asking isnt that considered a payment idiot!!! That was a couple of months ago...no legal action has been taken and are about to begin thier harrasing and fraudulent claim again! I have read everyones comments on this matter and will be asking for more info and give her the number of the local fraud department tell her it's my lawyer and have her repeat her story to them if this crazy fraud calls me back! Thanks to everyone who helped me out by leaving these comments!!

This is so strange, I just checked my answering machine and had a message from these people. I hit delete right away not thinking so when i looked up the number after hitting *69 it gave me this one so i looked it up and found this. I am so glad I didn't call back. So glad everyone is posting about this.Thank you

Got a call from this number but only got a garbled message on my machine.  I have no bad credit standings, and I certainly wouldn't have believed someone calling and harassing me.  But interesting to see how many people have been hit with this recently.  First thing I did was look up their number in white and yellow directory with no hits then found this site.   Has anyone been called back multiple times?  I wonder if I should expect another call..

WHY DOES SHE ASK A BIRTHDAY? IS IT A SCAM OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.I HAVE NO DEBT AT ALL AND I AM ABOUT TO GO TO THE POLICE.

I also got a call from this women, who called me a little girl and said i should smarten up, grow up and stop committing fraud, pay my bills and so on. I dont owe them any money. After she couldnt get a hold of me on my home number she  some how got my boyfriends cell phone number and started yelling at him. How do i stop this, report it to the police? I dont know why she is calling and asked her to send me the court papers or some sort of paper and she has nothing to say except if she had to she would. she also said she wouldnt stop calling me. What should i do?

Just recieved a call from the "professionaal corporation" With an extension and a reference number. I'm in good standing financially, but they didn't ask for me, they asked for another person with my last name. Then it came to me, my wife and I are only listed by first initial. Is this actually a company or some sort of fraud? They also gave me a number 1-888-858-5529.

Just got a phone message on my voicemail from a rude lady named Caroline from a supposedly "lawyer's office" saying it is very important to call her back with this reference number. We called and the answering machine said Palmer & Batcher corporation (could be Pomer & Boccia or something similar). We tried to look for the corporation's website but can't find it....we tried to look for the website using their phone number and this website came up instead so thank so much for all of your comments. I just hope they get caught....I think I'll call her back tomorrow and play her game for a while...

Mine caller goes even farther, they called my brothers place and left a message for me to call back at 888-858-5529 (also Caroline Lee) - same routine. I called the number and the recording is for Palmer & Bocher Professional Corporation. Extension 1453 went to Caroline Lee (so they are smooth operators to make it all look legit).

My question is to anyone - Does anybody know where we can all report these calls and scam to? Maybe the RCMP or ??

You never know, maybe the police can track (via the telco company as they are the police) the number and hit pay dirt. More than likely, these operators are outside of Canada or the States and somehow have a forwarding system in place - after all VOIP technology probably allows for all sorts of abuse.

Going by the above messages, they change their number frequently.
