I got a call to my cell phone asking for someone else. When I replied that she had the wrong phone number she said "ok but do you know who so and so is?" I replied "it doesn't matter because you called the wrong number" she just hung up, didn't say anything. Never told me who she was or what she wanted.

This company sent a letter that scared me so I called right away...the woman was threatening and nasty. I made an almost 700.00 payment and then another 154.00 in less than 2 weeks. I do owe another 500 and have tried to make arrangements to pay this off over time. This woman couldn't care that if I sent her more money my kids don't eat....what should I do?

I had a accident and have been going through rough times, I would have paid my debts if given more time to do so, I explained this in letters to this collector. They called family members and sent threatening letters stating legal action, so I declared bankruptcy.

This caller is a collection agency in Woodbridge, ON. They represent Canadian Tire Bank.

Bull crap. Can't take my house for under $3000 th dollars. Don't even owe that much on my credit card bill. Offered to pay them installments every month, garnish my disability payments. I am a  single mother with no support payments from their father. Good luck, threaten me some more. What a terrible law firm. Everything was taperecored. Just had a hangup phone call  from Gerry Joly, knows I tried to make arrangements to settle my debt to Canadian Tire.

This number belongs to a collection company.  Spreding  lies and terror.... they are not lawyers and the accounts are very old or written off (paid). Just do not aware.  Block and report the number

All of you who have a judgement against you check your file at the courts and see who "served" you the documents and where they "served" you! They fraudulently obtain judgements to avoid court and get default judgements to go straight to garnishment. Liars!

Message says they are the law firm of Palmer & Bocher representing XXXXX. Will definitely report them to The Law Society!!

I just got a call now.  She aid her name was Ashly.
The number she called from was#905-663-1440, but I didn't listen to the # she told me to call.
She said she represented a legal company.
She not only threatened legal action, she said, "or we will start calling for you at numbers you wouldn't want us to."!  Right there, I thought, that doesn't seem like something they are allowed to do.. so I checked up on that phone number and got this message.

BUT, I did just go to their site, and in their logo it lists them as a professional corporation AND Barristers and Solicitators.  Doesn't that mean they are lawyers?

number calls me daily, dont know number let it goto v-mail. answered a call at work one day and they called me there, when i asked as to what it was for and where they were calling from, they said a law firm when i probed to get more information they hung up on me... scam

I thought the same thing as you guys. Then I ended up with my bank accounts frozen. RBC said they filed some kind of enforcement on judgment they won in court.  It's a real law firm.  I called them and they told me I had to come up with the entire amount of the bill now that they had judgment in place and that I should have made an arrangement before they went to court.  Long story short... I should have just asked them for their LSUC registration number...can't fake that...
