- neuronet replies to former employeeOkay former employee what happens if your ignorant former employer has the wrong person on the wrong debt. IT DOES HAPPEN. And they refuse to listen? Silent? Not everyone is a deadbeat, some are being harassed for mistaken identity and even when you prove it, they do not care, try not lying so much to everyone
- Human Resource replies to former employeego [***] yourself! Like this company does everyday to many people!
- AngryU hear most if you saying they're fraudulent. U could care less about if they're lawyers or a collection agency. I KNOW that I owe Canadian Tire MC some money, and now my wages are being garnished. I called small claims in my area (Durham region) and they gave me the number of the firm who filed the claim and when I called it back, it was Pomer and Boccia. All I know is that I owe the money and Ontario small claims says it's them on behalf of Canadian Tire MC
- Caller: Pomer and Boccia
- Call type: Debt collector
- TD replies to Sandy Smithcomplain to the law society - go on the web site and file a complaint
- TamI got a call from this number and they said it was a law firm. They asked for the right last name but not the right first name. I saved the message but I couldnt even make out the name of the law firm she said it too quick and she left me her direct line number as well. 1 905 663 1436
- Caller: 1-905-663-1440
- EdThey also call our Company looking for previous employee demanding information about the employees. They are rude... Please report them to York Region Police.
- Gail replies to Penny| 2 repliesIf they are fraud, then how have they managed to garnish 20% of my wages to pay back a Canadian Tire card. The man I speak to says he is a lawyer and he put someone on the phone to get me a small mortgage to pay off all my debts. If he is not a lawyer, and he is commiting fraud, how did he manage to garnish my wages. Am I safe to take a small mortage with the person he had call me?? I haven't filled out any paper work yet. HELP. I actually spoke to Brian Pomer, said he was a lawyer and that he really wanted to help me get out of debt. Willing to cut my debt in half and write letters to the credit bureau. I was actually relieved when they offered me help to get out of debt!!!
- Tom replies to GailDO NOT TAKE OUT A MORTGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY. I am having dealings with them as we speak. But if you take a 2nd mortgage with them to pay off the debt, you may not be able to renew your original mortgage. Therefore you will lose your house.
Anything this "lawyer" is telling you, you can do on your own. - Abbie replies to former employee| 2 repliesFormer Employee... first... why are you a "former" employee... if Pomer and Boccia is as great as you are saying why did you leave??? or were you one of the "collectors" harassing the wrong people and got fired??? or maybe its the fact that you can't spell... Sadly... not everyone is as perfect as yourself, and some of us have fallen on hard times... but since you're "perfect", you wouldn't know anything like that.
Presently, I've been the victim of harassment from the wonderful Pomer and Boccia, and I'm not the "deadbeat" that has been sent there!!! oops, but however Pomer and Boccia is perfect (isn't that right former employee???), and they follow the Collection Agent Act to the "T"!!! (we all know that Pomer and Boccia is a law office, with a division of Debt Recovery, which is a registered Collection Agent and must follow the Act like everyone else) This "perfect" collector that has been harassing me, has divulged every bit of debt the intended person owes, has left horrible rude messages on my voice mail. Has called back after I've hung up on her, cursing and swearing at me... threatening a whole bunch of BS (WOW all illegal actions, go figure!!!)...What an amazingly Professional company your former employer is... The Ministry was very interested in what I had to tell them when I filed a formal complaint with them.
I just hope.... "Former Employee" that your life remains "perfect" and you never fall on hard times
PS.... just to rant a touch more... Why don't you ask these people why they've fallen behind, and have been sent to a collection agent.... Why don't you ask them what has happened in their lives before you assume that everyone who has debt who can't pay their bills are deadbeats!!!! Really... You make me sick!!! - Nancy| 1 replyI received a call from Palmer & Boccia Vaughan Ontario individual Julia Stizzico,,,acting as if she were a legal party concerning a mastercard with Canadian Tire...when asked for her position she became snarly accused me of wasting her time...advising she recorded our conversation, threatened small claims court action in 3 days(i think that 3 was the number) told I was wasting her time offered to put me on another line to a paralegal...offered a settlement amount....i declined ...called my employment..is this harassment? Sure felt like it...
- Caller: Palmer (Pomer) & Boccia

- Abs replies to NancyHi Nancy
They CANNOT threaten you in anyway shape or form. They are a Registered Collection Agency and have to follow the Collection Agency Act. See Link Below.

Also, if you feel you are being harrassed by them, here's the Ministry of Consumer Services website and they tell you what your rights are... I've just filed a complaint with them regarding Pomer and Boccia

- fed up| 1 replyThese people are still at it! The woman who calls goes by the name of "Miss Lee"? She is one nasty individual who definitely does not present as a so-called professional lawyer. She is relentless and I will be contacting the appropriate authorities. She calls at all hours as well, and we have very young children....very frustrating. We are going to let her leave a few more of her wonderful messages so that we have more evidence for the police!
- Caller: Plummer and Bonshaw?

- INGRID GAMBLESome guy with a first name of Len or Glen called saying he was from this firm. I called back last night and left 2 messages and asked him to call back. He did this morning. Then I had it out with him. He is rude, unprofessional, psycho. The number that came up on my phone is 1-905-663-1440. When he left his voicemail message he said to call back at 1-888-858-5529. I tried that number and it does not exist!

- Lee replies to AbbieExactly! I lost my job and deadbeat Dad of kid took off leaving me no income, no child support. I owe some money, and the people who have been polite on the phone and treated me with some measure of respect are the ones I've communicated with so far and have worked out a plan. But these rude 'lawyer' [***] can kiss my ass. I've demanded they send me documents as I will not speak to someone who can't communicate in a civil, non bullying manner. And after googling the phone# and reading all these posts I simply won't deal with them at all unless it's in writting. How can these people feel good about themselves at the end of the day after treating people so badly for 7 or 8 hours straight!
- Lee replies to former employeeFormer Employee, you are a complete [***]. That's why I abosolutely believe you are one of theirs. Sounds like you should have stayed with them though. I can't believe anyone else would want a cold blooded reptile such as yourself around them on a daily basis.
- Mark| 3 repliesI am in a debt settlement program. Ms.Lee has called my work thrented my general manager, called corporate office threnting a law suite five times today!!! Ms. Lee is trying to get as much info on me as possible. According to my debt settlement manager they do this all the time. Canadian Tire owns this company and they are a lawyer/collections agency. However, since they are half law firm half collection agency there are different rules that apply. I am not going to play these games. Don't let her get in to your head, as she tried to do for me. I'd recommond recording the calls & tracing the number & reporting these people to the local RCMP. When the number shows up on my caller ID I just let it go to voice mail.

- bobby replies to Bryson| 2 repliesThis comment is not true ive been taken to court by david pomer and gerry joly who is an employee of his legal department...
- bobby replies to MarkMark heres some info... her name is ms lenore levin, shes been working for pomer and boccia for about 5 years, I had a debt and I met her face to face shes nothing to be scared of, and honestly for a lawyers office it is a real low end building, and David Pomer was hiding in his office because he didn't want to deal with anything... Call the law society or the RCMP for them threatening you...
- Cha replies to MarkThis Ms. Lee has been calling me too saying I am being sued by Canadian Tire. I'm currently in a debt settlement program as well. She threatened she will let my employers know about the problem but that didnt rattle me, I'm just worried if they will really take me to court. She caught me offguard and told her about the settlement and she yelled they don't work with settlement agencies. I already informed my service rep and she said this lady is really mean and rude. But she assured me that they will do everything and not to let Ms. Lee stress me out. So I hope that everything will work out well.
