I've been dealing with a woman named Miss Lee at this company.  I've been making regular payments to Cdn Tire monthly and have started dealing directly with them as "Miss Lee" has been calling my phone, my employer's phone and my boss.  Cdn Tire informed me they've put a note on my file for this company to stop harrassing me with phone calls. I told her, I don't know which agency, but there must be someone I can report this Palmer & Boccia to for harassment.  Cdn tire told me if Lee calls again to report to them.  Anybody know who I can report this company to?

These [***] have been calling me too for a debt that was written off in 1998. Way past the statute of limitations.
I have not responded to their messages and have the mail returned as incorrect address. They can keep wasting $$ on postage.

If anyone has a lawyer friend and wants to start a class action against them I'm in. We can pay our lawyer from the proceeds we are awarded for their harrassment.

Another option is to email the Law Society every day that they call you. Pretty soon the Law Society would get the message about these people and their bad practice.

I've submitted a complaint to the Ministry of Government Services at http://www.mgs.gov.on.ca under Consumer Protection/Consumer Protection Toolbox.  I've paid pretty much the entire debt, dealing with the credit card company directly now, as "Ms. Lee" continues to call me and my place of employment even though she's been repeatedly asked not to do so.  Get on the bandwagon and file your complaint.  The more they get the more serious they'll be about making sure this company stops their tactics.

There was a man calling himself "Mr. Sibi" or something close, claiming to be a rep for a law firm. He asked me wether this (my number) was the home or business number for the person he was looking for. I told him I'd take a message for the person he's trying to contact, without promising I'd be able to deliver it. He became very uppity so I hung up on him. He called right back, and I let it go to machine.

This Company harrasses phone numbers they have on file!!!

These people have been calling us for three years looking for someone we do not know.
We have repeatedly told them that we do not know of the person in question.
We have repeatedly asked them to update thier files to reflect this information and not to call back.
We had mentioned that this phone number has been in our name since moving into this location several years ago.
AND we do expect to hear from them again!

I will return the favor by listing their number(s) in all reverse look-up databases and search engines I can find... as time permits.

Skype call-back shows thier phone service defaults to USA.

I kept getting voicemails, about four of them, asking me to call back at 1-888-858-5529, but no further information. At first I assumed they were trying to sell something so I didn't bother, but today they called my cell phone. So I wanted to see who keeps pestering me and I called back only to get this announcement of a "Palmer&Boucher Professional Corporation".
A quick search brought up this page, so I'd like to thank everyone here who made it clear that this was a scam.
They called me from 905-856-8139, so they do seem to change their number.

I have found what "appears" to be a legit website...however, if you search under  Careers, you can see that it is simply a collection agency. I have worked for several collection agencies over the years and I am well versed with the lingo they use...NO law firm would actually contact you. The collection agency would do the dirty work and the law firm would only get involved if it's over $5000.00.

They could get in soooo much trouble for misrepresentation....has anyone on here ever contacted the police or better business bureau or anything?

I have no outstanding bills etc, I was curious to call just to see what they'd say but now after reading these msg's the last thing I want to do is egg them on.  Oh I bet it's my old roommate, I have had legite collections call for her in the past.  Anyway they have only called once but if I hear from them again I will definetely file a compaint!   Thanks for info

My friend got a call from these people.

Her daughter is dying of cancer and to say she can't deal with it is an understatement.

She doesn't owe any money as she paid off her debt when she sold her house and of course has no idea where the paperwork is at this moment.

When I heard the voice message  realized something was wrong and told her not to answer the calls.

The messages are just plain vicious and also a lot of poppycock.

She was told she had to pay the amount that day or they would go to court tomorrow and they would immediately garnishee her wages.

I called the 888-858-5529  and told the lady who answered  wanted to send them some money and needed their mailing address.

These people are particularly nasty and the good lord only knows how they look in the mirror each day.

905-663-1425 Mr Zackaria... These people called claiming to be lawyers which they are not.  There is no managment person to speak with.  They are extremely rude and offered me false information.  They are a fraud.

I got a call from a Carlo Potter? His extention was 1437 and he said that he was a lawyer calling from a lawfirm. He told me that I better contact my lawyer as I am being sued. He was very rude. He kept calling me a little girl and to get my crayons and write down the number to their office. I hung up several times and he kept on calling me. I told him that I would be contacting my lawyer if I recieved another call from him and charge him with harrassment. He asked me if I could even spell the word harassment. He was very rude and I am VERY angry and will be contacting the police.

These people has been calling my number leaving messages for someone with the same last name as mine.  I have advised them many times that I do not know this individual, however, they still keep calling and leaving messages about auditing account and taking legal actions against ME!! I dont even know this individual they are talking about, I decided to check out this phone number and found these comments...thanks a bunch people.  I will not even speak to them again

don't you thinkt hat if it was not a legitmate company that they would have shut down already? these people own a collection and have a law side to it. the people who are complaining are scared because they are in debtg and don't have enough money to pay it off. call teh law society and check again. pomer and boccia are a legitmate law office.

Asked to speak with me I did not confirm my name.  then they were very rude and were very pushy.  when i refused to confirm my name until they told me where they are callign from they said they would see me in court

i received a call from Pomer and Boccia in Oct.2008.  I was asked to make a settlement on a unpaid TD visa bill.  I had asked for them to send me some sort of letter stating that after i made the payment all would be clear.  The man on the phone (Gerry) said that i would have something the following week. 2 1/2 months later, i finally got the letter.  I was calling them everyday b/c i wanted to clear this debt.  they are very unprofessional to say the least.  i called TD and they stated that Pomer and Boccia is legit and my file WAS with them.  so i made the payment.  right after making the payment, i tried calling them to get my release letter, and NOBODY answered the phone, or responded to any og the 6 messages i left.  I hope it doesn't take another 2 months to get the release..  Companies like this should not be in business, better yet, banks like TD shouldn't be keeping them in business.  Our credit and important information is in the hands of these very unprofessional, unethical people.  this needs to be stopped.

My parents were contacted about a Canadian Tire Credit Card that I was behind making payments on and they, in a panic, agreed to pay the $3000 balance in monthly installments of $500. 3 months after the last installment, my mother started to get these threatening calls about a balance of $528. She has made numerous calls, emails and sent letters to David Palmer - never any response.

She was told that Cecil Douglas (sound familiar?) had been fired for poor performance that is why she could not speak with him when she asked to.

Her calls started in March/2008.

Anyone know anything about other calls from other companies?

Just received a letter and a call from these people and read previous postings and am concerned that this may be fraudulent as well. Will call them back and get the information and call the law society. Also, if they are a collection agency than they also need to provide their collection agents license number and you can file a complaint with the consumers affairs of Ontario.

I received a call from Bob Wilson.  He was looking for the property management phone number of the building I live in.  It seemed rather odd and I did not give him the phone number.  I decided to call back the phone number to verify if his message was legitimate and their answering machine refers to a legal office.  I spoke with receptionist and was transferred to Bob Wilson.  I asked him how he got my phone number and he answered from the Phone Directory.  He searched for those living in my building and picked me at random.  From reading all the comments, I am starting to wonder if there is more involved.

To all you idiot who don't pay your bills this company is a legal office with debt collections......I advise all of you to pay your bills instead of looking for excuses and reasons not to do this.....You can file all the complaints you need to but what it breaks down to is you are all dead beat who have no moral responsabillity to rectify your debt
