Report a phone call from 02202 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Alley replies to meIm sure if you was concerend youd do the same - and i was providing info for other people on this thread - so thanks for your useless opinion.
- DormouseDefinitely 02, definitely an outsourced sales team, and definitely targeting PAYG customer, which is why they're asking for details - they have your number, but unless the SIM is registered, they don't have anything else!
I picked up a free SIM a few days ago for emergencies/spare phone, which is clearly why they've phoned my main number. Explained it was for spare/emergencies so therefore I wasn't sure what kind of use it would get, and that was that. All perfectly polite. - www.youtube.com/mottynanceHeyah all help for you gguys if you text stop to 02202 they wont ring you anymore, its asking you if you want to be on a diffrent price plan :) would love it if you could reward me by subscribing to my youtube channel you have to be a member to sign up though:/ thanks x

- AliIts O2 marketing. Why are people calling it a scam?
It was regarding my O2 broadband renewal, just got 2 months for free by renewing another year. I was greatful for the call. Towards the start of the call I did have to confirm my name and first line of address but they instantly provided me with sensitive information that only o2 would know such as when i changed my package, how much i normally pay for my broadband and my last o2 broadband bill which was larger than normal due to an o2 cockup.- Caller: o2
- Jasonthis number called me today while at school, i answered cus it was after we finished. But i was walking through the corridor at the time and it was really noisy so i couldn't hear the other end of the line very well but it was a woman talking, like hi, im from....callin about...... - like a professional company but i couldn't hear it :/

- beccyThis number called 5 times within the last 1 and half hour. Answered 1st time, no reply so hung up. It's rather frustrating that we take the time to answer the call but the other end can't be fussed to say anything!

- MissAlso got a call, said they were calling from Manchester but having an Indian accent makes me thing otherwise. I just ended my O2 contract and they gave me info which contradicted O2 when I called them so very much doubt this company is actually O2, though wouldn't put it past O2 to have sole our info to them. I left O2 due to being extremely unhelpful and now I get this so glad I moved!

- 02 FRAUDI have just had a call from 02202 an apparently nice friendly Irish man who emphasised that the call was being recorded (presumably in an attempt to sound official) he went on to tell me about the o2 simplicity card and how I would benefit, I agreed to one of them sounded ok. He went on to ask my address with I stupidly gave then my date of birth! how long had I lived here, rented or owned, then said he needed to set up a Direct Debit and do a credit check, he asked where I banked, then to give him a password that would prompt me for my bank and o2 which I refused so he gave me one THEN he asked for the long number off my card!!! I again refused he said I will text you so you can see I am genuine which he did. However I still refused to give my card details he then went on to say I will put you on hold and my Manager will pick you up so he can tell you we are o2 to which I laughed as I said how will that prove anything, I said sorry to have wasted your time but I will not bother - he was not best pleased and hung up.

- casperbeen getting this calls from 02202 for over a week now, but always missed the call, answered one today and they put phone down on me.
- JAGUARThis number is ringing me everyday but i don't answer as i don't recognized it i thought it might be a scam and they con you big time!!!... i hope somebody would know and be able to stop whoever owns this number. it's disturbing the hell of me if i'm at work!...
- Laiwai replies to Liamthis seems to be a big problem, there are so many people on a lot of forums saying they are getting several calls a day. An easy solution that no one so far has mentioned is that almost all phones have a number block option. Check this and the call will never reach you. As this is an obvious scam, several people have been abused, just block it!!!!
- nat replies to Blah| 1 replywell after reading this argument, my general opinion is that it is o2, i had a call of them today but couldnt answer because I was in a lecture, I only googled it incase it was something to do with the bank or something, I think I recall them ringing me before aswell.
- call centre agent replies to natI actually work for the company who calls you up from 02202. We are a call centre working for o2 and the reason we call is to either keep you on o2 pay as you go or o2 broadband. If you want a contract, that's an added bonus.
I work on the pay as you go side of things and can honestly say its worth picking up, because the chances are we will be able to reduce the amount you top up EVEN without giving you a contract. If anyone is rude to you, report it to o2. If you get a silent call, its because there's a machine that rings you all up and if there isn't an agent available then there's physically no-one to speak to. But that is a tiny minority or else OFCOM would have words with us.
