My £11 a month originated from PC world - PC cover. They told me to contact Cover Plan Customer Service PO Box 1686 Nunnery Sq Sheffield S2 5YB.
What PC World, Curry's and other members of the group do is force you to take out a protection plan at the point the of purchase, saying that their system makes it mandatory, and they tell you that the first period is free and after that you can ring up and cancel, hoping that you will forget.
    Bad business practice.

Purchased computer from PC World for £499.99 and paid with credit card. This figure appears on terminal but receipt shows managers discount of £6.99 then re -appears as £6.99  with scant or no explanation. You see this when you get home and as total is correct ignore it.Surprise £6.99 has been taken from my credit card for Feb. Credit card company will do nothing as I have instigated DD mandate !!! Go to PC World who inform me I have agreed to this by signing mandate. They cannot produce a copy because I have never seen it or signed it.Manager tells me to phone number.I refuse and insist he phones. Like magic he  takes my credit card and I have a refund and mandate cancelled.Times must be hard if a major retailer resorts to such a tactic to extort money.Look forwardto next months statement

It was from PC World. I called the number, got a very helpful lady who identified it as a charge from PC World and explained exactly what the charge related to. She was very happy to answer all my questions fully.
Suggest anyone noticing this charge simply call the number for help.

got the same problem, but I've just call them and ask to stop the DD. they said the deduction would stop from today. can't wait my next month statement.
Just call 0844 561 0000 then press cust service button then complain button. And prepare your PC performance reference number, it would be asked by them.

I have been charged £7.99 on two occasions so far.  I can only imagine this follows on from a laptop purchased recently from Currys.  My partner specifically stated we did NOT want the support option, but it looks as though they've ignored his request.  I have tried to call tonight, but they're only open during office hours, so will try again tomorrow.  A bit of a con me thinks!!!

I too have just noticed this on my credit card statements for the last 4 months, having bought a pc at PC World on tottenham court road - I also made it clear I didn't want any additional warranty or cover, so it seems very much like a scam/fraud - another case of the customer having to prove why they should have their stolen money returned. I'll be taking this up with them tomorrow.

I too have experienced this unknown charge from Product Support AG on my credit card.  Discovered it related to an item purchased from Dixons eventhough I said that I did not want any support or cover. Beware of this when purchasing an item and phone the company asap if you wish this charge to be cancelled.  Very bad practise.

Don't recognize this transaction of £7.10 on my credit card.  See that some think it's to do with Currys.  Could be, as we have bought from them a while ago, but don't recognize having bought anything on date of debit.  I'll get the card company on to it.

Exact same problem as above. I bought a new PC from PC World in December, on my Credit Card. I chose to take out insurance, although I provided the sales assistant with my bank details, to set up a Direct Debit, which has been going out fine each month!

Only this month Ive found a £4.99 charge to my credit card !?! Surely this cant be right. Im going to call my CC company tomorrow, and PC World!

Not 0844 800 6080! Beat this: 19/4/09: Ordered PCWorld laptop.  They didn't supply; 22/4/09: said they wanted more money after agreeing price; 22/4/09: I cancelled order. 9/5/09: They had charged my credit card £1199.99!  I requested refund & got sent a PCWorld gift card!!  Now 6/6/09 they have charged my credit card £13.99 Product Support AG for a LAPTOP I NEVER HAD OFF THEM!!! Would I be wrong in thinking that PCWORLD IS A DISHONEST & FRAUDULENT COMPANY?

Same exact problem with me as many of the above. I saw this charge on my credit card on the first month of £5.99. Thought it was odd as I never use my card for anything less than £20 so I googled it and came to this page.

I have written a complaint letter to Currys since it's too late in the evening to call them. Just need to wait and see what they say. My case is the same, I specifically said no to the additional cover/insurance, and the cheeky bugger deducted the first months fee "at manager's discretion" which I overlooked as my eyes were naturally drawn to the Total Amount which was correct.

You are the lucky ones, you can, cancel your agreements!
You can cancel and this is how it's done:
Don't bother to phone, you only hit enormous brick walls. You have to write as follows: I wish to cancel my agreement with you, giving them the reference / agreement number.
You must also give your card number.  I now revoke your authority to debit my credit card quoting your card number.  Important Note: a copy must be addressed and sent to your credit card company (addressed correspondant)

I have never bought from Dixons, Currys or PC World  but have been  charged for product insurance which I have never consented to take out. This amounts to two charges, one of £7.99 and one of £3.49 charged each month for the past eighteen months. I thought that this was bank charges as I settled the card by direct debit each month.
As I have no agreement I cannot cancel the agreement! The credit card company cannot stop any subscription, Only Product support AG can stop the agrement.  I had to send the
My credit card statments to Product support AG, after I had taken them to the Ruislip branch of Curry's for them to verify the payments over the phone.  I stood on wonky feet for three hours in agony all to no avail.  The FSA has stopped firms keeping card numbers, so product support AG cannot trace the account that my money goes to.  If I cancel my card this payment automatically goes onto any new card. The only way that I can cancel it, is for me to die.  So far I have made twenty to thirty phone calls amounting to over twenty hours. How on earth did they get my card number as it's never been in  their shop. My credit card company now has to make the payments each month but they will claw them back.  They also managed to claw back three months payments.  The previous fifteen months are gone forever. Fraud yes legalised fraud.

I'm mad as hell, PC-World / GA Product Support have screwed £6.99 a month out of my card for the last eight months. I bought a PC from them and refused point blank to take any further insurance. I believe this is fraud I will not be dealing with them again.
