- Guy Goossens replies to Phil| 2 repliesPlease unsubscribe me from Product Support Ag
- nanaochaye replies to Guy GoossensTo unsubscribe, contact the Product Support Agency on the number on your credit card statement and explain that it is an unauthorised payment and they will cancel for you. You then approach the manager in the PC World store where you bought the item and demand your money back. I got mine back there and then and didn't even have to argue. They are swines! it must surely be company policy to do this or is it just that the salesperson gets a bonus each time for putting customers on this insurance???H3
- motherhen| 1 replyi to bought a pc from currys am being billed every month for 10.52 i am very annoyed as the number i ring is not taken calls i didnt give permisson for money to be taken out of my credit card this is fraud and the credit card company told me to write to them but i dont have address and dont get through on phone what should i do as this is going on two years
- nanaochaye replies to motherhenMotherhen,
You need to go back to Curry's and complain bitterly. The number on your credit card statement which says Product Support Agency is the one I rang and they cancelled for me straight away. I then got my money back from PC World where I bought the computer. - Mike replies to julieBaffled after noticing a strange charge on my Amex Card (£16.90 for DSG PRODUCT SUPPORT), I rang American Express, who said they could not do anything to cancel the bill or give a refund but that I'd have to contact DSG myself. Came across this website with its host of other embittered victims, so now I'm about to tussle with DSG . Will report on progress - if any! - in due course. As a matter of interest, Julie, did you finally resolve your dispute - and, most importantly, get a refund?
- Maria replies to JohnI have tried to called them many times and they dont answer the phone. I need to pay for my insurance and I cant contact them.
- pezzo replies to SAMMI| 2 repliesi to have been stung by product support ag!!! for 10.99 per month have you had any luck getting yours stopped? im not sure what to do any sugestions
- TonyI have just noticed on my credit card bill the deduction of £4.49 each month. It has appeared since April this year. when I investigate it I find it was linked to the purchase of an LG 32" LCD TV I bought back in March this year from Curries superstore, Harrogate. The salesman pestered me to take out the extended warrantee, I adamantly refused to have, but he put it through anyway for a month. This he said was a good idea because of the 300 mile journey I would have to undertake to get the TV back home to where I live in the west coast of Scotland. Now I know from where the direct debit is coming from, I now have the job of getting in contact with Product Support A.G. to get a refund.
I have also been in touch with Barclaycard MasterCard they are sending me a grievance form to fill in. I strongly suggest anybody else who has experienced this situation to do the same if only to expose the scam. One has to ask the question, why would you want to pay for a second warrantee on a purchase which already carries a 12 months warrantee. The customer is being ripped off yet again! - Tony replies to pezzoLike you I have been in the same situation. I complained to Barclaycard who have told me they are sending me a grievance form to fill in. Because “office hour only” that 0844 800 6080 are only manned. I tasked my wife to ring today and some dim wit office girl, who actually is not that dim, gave my wife the run around saying they would get back by phone to her a.s.ap. All day my wife sat waiting for the call which you have guessed it, never came. She rang back to complain. So at the moment the best we have achieved and hope for is we have stopped the D.D. on our credit card. Only next month’s statement will verify that. let me know how you get on. This scam is perpetrated on the show room floor by the sales person in all the Curries, PC world. PC world owns Curries so what one does the other will do. I live on the west coast of Scotland and any purchase I am involved with usually takes 250 miles round trip and a full day of your life, so buying anything pricey is expensive enough without others taking an easy cut on top. One other thing, if you look at all the complaints it must run into thousands, surely this one is just right for BBC watch dog to get their teeth into on behave of the customer.is
- StupidThe letters came above renewing our cover on the fridge/freezer, we decided not to, what we didnot notice was that you had to ring them and tell them. Bingo there's the debit on our account.
- Stupid replies to pezzoTell your Bank/credit card company to cancel the direct debit
- Pat TrimWe found £13.00 had been added to our credit card bill last month. Couldn't work out what it was but it co-incided with us being abroad so we put it down to a purchase we had forgotten. Just got this month's statement and another £13.00 has been deducted by 'Product Support Ag'. We cannot remember purchasing anything likely to require this support and are now trying to contact the organisation to find out why they are taking this money. Also contacting credit card company to stop future payments. Surely, it is illegal for anyone to use your credit card details to take payments for a service you have not asked for or agreed to?
- lowennaI have this number cropping up on my credit card statement along with a payment for £6.99 a month. It seems to be in respect of a computer I bought from PC World. I NEVER get product support from anyone and I can only conclude that PC World has used my personal details to arrange for someone to steal from me. I will be taking this further

- Caller: whatever happens club
- Gil replies to KarenI'm in the club. £8.99. since June 2008. I have just started doing my 2008-2009 accounts, and there it is.
Starting from when I bought a lap top from PC world.
Disgusting. Better to buy from the back streets of London. - david dThis is a nightmare, Barclays wont help you with this they will pass you onto another company for pc support, we bought nothing from this place and they refuse to give us our money back
- Arghh!Just found out I've been paying £7.99 a month for product suport for a Laptop I bought my parents in PC World Newry, 2 years ago! Rarely use my credit card so only just noticed this 'PRODUCT SUPPORT AG'. Looked through the last 3 months on my online banking to discover it was coming out around the same date every month! Thinking it was some sort of bank charge, I call up the credit card company all guns a blazing only to discover PC World have helped themselves to almost €300 of my money. I called 0044 8445 610000 and was told that I was given 3 months free product support which I should have cancelled if I didn't want to keep it up. I have no recollection of this, should they have some sort of signed document on file? Got into an argument with the guy who told me I should check my credit card statement more often, what a cheek. Surely after the first year of making payments you should receive some sort of statement from them? Apart from all of this, my parents laptop could have broken at any time and we didn't even known they had product support! The whole thing reeks of scam, how are they getting away with this and how can I get my money back!
- Penny SueWondered where my money £7.99 per month was being paid to - like others called the number and cancelled payment. It is on a laptop that I purchased 4 years ago! Asked my Bank to cancel and to this response
" A declaration form has now been sent to your home address. ..............l.
Once we receive these details we'll be able to proceed with the dispute process for you.
I'm afraid that as this is a subscription service it needs to be cancelled with the company and .....(my Bank) can't cancel this for you. Even if the card was changed or closed they would still be entitled to claim this money. You will need to call the company to stop any future payments."
What is the point of this how can a company still be entitled to claim my money without my authority and why will my Bank not take my instructions to stop the payment.
Really need the media to pick up on this and bring it to the attention of the wider public as there are probably thousands of people being ripped off with this scam.- Caller: 0844 800 6080
