- Billdh4Didn't realise an innocuous 08448006080 number on my credit card statement for 3.99pounds was support for a 200pound computer bought 31 months ago from Curry's:- 244 pounds!!! OK I was very lax,if the number had had Curry's name alongside that would have alerted me.
I would never take on an insurance for any equipment they generally not worth it.So how did the salesman manage it? I'm still trying to get reimbursed getting nowhere. Shop to bank to shop.- Caller: Curry's

- JBTelephone sales misleading . Told me cheap promotion package then piled on hidden costs once signed up. Beware 72 hours cool off period for businesses . They do not tell you this.

- Kevin Jackson replies to margaretCurry's! I agreed to a "free" one month "whatever happens" insurance policy but to activate it I had to give credit card or bank account details. They have now put a charge on my account for the second month. They'll be getting a call tomorrow.
- dinnafouter replies to nick lamkinYou probably didn't read what you signed.
- cocoI don't usually check my credit card statements thoroughly and had assumed this 0844 number must have been my charges for calling the bank. However when I looked at my statement today I knew I hadn't called any 0844 numbers this month. I then checked a previous statement which also had the same amount deducted by this same phone number. I googled the number and could see that it's a fraudulent action by PC World from whom I bought a PC about a year ago. I telephoned my bank who checked my statements from 6 months ago and the same charge had been taken from my account every month. I know for definite that I specifically told PC World that I did not want to purchase any insurance at the time. I am furious and will be searching out for my original receipt and speaking to the manager of PC World this weekend. My bank are going to sort it out although it will take some time as they have to liaise with PC World to get the money back but they have stopped any further money from my account going to PC World.
- K leeI just had a credit card bill with product support AG 0844 800 6080
No idea what this would be for and I certainly didn't agree to it!
I bought a tv 4 months ago and paid a couple if hundred up front for insurance. Why would they be taking this £16.40 now?!!!- Caller: 0844 800 6080
- alanjI have just been charged £54.00 by HSBC on my credit card account, the question is how as neither my wife or I went shopping that day. HSBC do not appear to be interested as long as they get the £54.00 from me.
- Alan 121| 1 replyI HAVE JUST BEEN CHARGED £54.00 BY HSBC on my credit card account for a company shown as Product Support AG 0844 800 6080. As neither my wife or I went shopping that day let alone use our credit cards how can this company through HSBC make that charge . Is this not fraud assisted by HSBC?
- Nan replies to Alan 121I am not sure what point you are trying to make. Looking at other posts on here this seems to be an insurance/warranty charge relating to something you have bought from Currys.PC World, Dixons etc. It is not something you have to have bought on the date shown on your card statement. Does this ring any bells???

- astrevaWe purchased a TV and a sound bar with a wall mount plus fitting , total amount 992.96 , a special delivery charge of 20.99 and customer support agreement for 6.50 , the manager then gave us a special discount of 26.50 , these two amounts totalled 27.49 ,this left just 99p to be added to the 992.96 giving a total of 993.95 , we paid with my wife's debit card .
We assumed the product support , 6.50 ,was just a one off payment in case we needed to get a replacement at any time , at no time were we told it was a extra warranty costing 6.50 a month .
The sound bar proved to be faulty so we returned this and purchased a more expensive one , this cost another 19.95 , this time I paid with a my own credit card .
A month later my credit card statement showed 6.50 deducted for product support of the TV package we bought with my wife's debit card .
Is this legal ? can a company charge this monthly charge on my credit card for something my wife purchased on her debit card - m t bI bought a laptop from currys pc world, with it I got free online support for a fixed time at the end of this time I was meant to cancel it and I never, I called the number on my bank statement and cancelled hopefully they won't take another 8.50 next month #tricked!

That 0844 number is associated with Currys, PC World, Dixons, and Pixmania so if you had recent dealings with any part of that Group of Companies it could well be your starting point. Previous posts above could assist too. I take it that the 0777 number is yours. Do you think it wise to put it onto a website? - sue wilkinsonOMG £8 50 every month for 21 months billed to my Credit Card by Product Support Ag. Stupidly I thought it was for my kitchen appliances until I have just made a claim realising that its NOT. Rang the 0844 (0344 now) 800 6080 asking what is payment for, told a laptop that I purchased 2013. I purchased a phone with Phones for U that were in store at PC world/Currys I was given a £100 discount for a laptop as an extra to use in the store which I did and used it as discount to a new laptop. Now I hear that they SAY I received 1 months free product support which continues monthly WOW WHAT A SCAM, I DIDNT WANT, OR BUY OR AGREE TO. I have been told that the monthly amount is now cancelled but I need to ask for an indemnity form if I think this was miss sold, IT WAS....
