This is really useful theyve just phone me diint answer though, an i started an o2 contract like 2 days ago haha x

Got my o2 contract then had 5 calls from this number, answered one and break but no one said anything, so ignored the other 4.

yeep i  also start new contract with o2. strange thing about thiz number is that when i answer it young guy asked me that do i want to add some options to my contract and then i heard some laugh from second person when this first guy was talking. i ask for name because he said that he calls from o2  and after my guestion about name ... he hang out. strange

http://www.o2.co.uk/sme/o2insure - look on here, o2 have stated that this is one of thier numbers and that they will use it to give you a welcome call. It says it about half way down the page. I still wont answer it. But it isn't some sort of Welsh company etc. It is o2.

Received constant call 0845 863 2287. Rings 3 or 4 times and nobody answers.

It is O2 they are calling to confirm you are happy with the service and if they are lucky and you are a muppet they will get you to buy things from them, ( this is called the retail business, people sell you things you think you want to buy then try to get you to buy more things) all you have to say is no thank you, not scream at them, not shout abuse, they are trying to feed their families, when you were in the 02 shop buying ur new phone they said, Would you like to receive marketing calls from 02 to inform you of upgrades, and i bet you if asked you said yes. Then they asked if you want marketing calls from third parties and you said no. If you dont want the calls go online and tick the box stating you want no marketing information! And finally NO i do not work for O2 i just have the common sense to work out how this whole buying/ selling malarky works.

it is o2 selling insurance does not mean u have to taqke it it is a call to make sure ur happy and aware of details

o2 have a job to do it is a curtisy call
o2 only offer insurnace once and if u say no then its declined after that its upto the customer to add on with in the first 28 days
its a person calling from o2 you might have a question for us

thias number is def o2 and you would of also got a call when u could upgrade so if u were not informed of your upgrade this is why

it is the o2 outbound number if you have had a call and spoke to an advisor there will be notes on your account it seems customer service do not store this number and easier for them to say no idea than to check correctly this has been an issue that has been advised on it is a curtisy call and yes insurance is offered but you do not have to take its a OPTION and if you do not answer you will get  calls as its a automatic system for none answerers Sorry we are jsut doing our job and making sure you dont have any questions it saves you a phone call

no you are not getting charges for these some times the stsyem is giddy to wlcome you to o2 before there is a free agent sorry

dillion it is o2 all you needed to do was answer listen for 30 secs and say im ok with everything thankm you end of call

i have worked here for over 6 yrs and we have used this number for at least 3 years

I've just been rung by this number, upgraded my O2 phone last week, have taken insurance out.
