It is not a scam i just called this number back and it is a genuine call from o2 to make sure everything is ok with your new phone.

come and work with us u will see we are not allowed to look into ur account with out ur password and agreement from urself if u do advise on the password then we can get into ur account and advise u when u upgraded last and even tell u where

Do u know what would say it is O2 if every customer added a password on the account with a question to remind u of ur password that only O2 can see so u will know if it is O2 ask them to confirm the question if u are unsure it is O2

remember the staff are people like u could be ur next door neighbour they have feelings too been shouted at and just having u cut the call off

must be O2 just had 2 empty calls that just hung up and had my phone under a week

All this call is a courtesy welcome call from O2 to enquire if everything is ok with your contract, they ask for details to confirm it's you for DPA, in case you need to discuss account details with them.

for free from an O2 mobile and they'll confirm for you.

i'm sick off them keep ringin me too. they have rang me now for the past 3 days. i just ignore them.

i had a missed call got number up and this was the number. I don't own a contract phone never have, and had sim and number for a least five years, so if it is o2 selling phone insurance to contract phones i wonder why they are ringin me.

they keep ringing me i dont no who it is but as i have looked and seen on here it is 02.  i have 02 but only payg so why would they be calling me?

This is a link to what i presume is a genuine O2 webpage (I have not tried to establish this) and about half way down you see they quote the number themselves.
It does appear to be an attempt to sell insurance, although i don't know why they would suddenly want me to insure my 2 year old NokiaN73 PAYG i don't know!

It does look like o2 are using this number from their outbound team selling broadband as well.

Had two calls from this number. Who is it?

i dont who is calling me. they have rang me for 2 weeks on a tuesday or wednesday without fail. always after 2 o clock. its so annoying
today is the only day they have rang me twice.
thinking of blocking number?!?!!!!

I've had at least one call a day from this number for the past week. Don't answer as I never answer numbers I don't recognise anyway. After reading a few of these posts I've now blocked it. Incidentally, I'm also on O2???????

I've had 2 calls in less than an hour, asking for my mother even thought it is my phone but she isn't in :/ x
