I ordered our kitchen a few weeks ago after replying to a add in the paper. I have to be honest at one bit i nearly cancelled because of seeing these comments. We had a salesman called Saj. After he left with our 100 quid deposit, we noticed he'd missed bits of (splashback etc) so couple of days after ringing uber to explain this we got a call from a man claiming to be a surveyor to check the measurments. he came checked and changed the measurements completely as most were wrong (luckily my father is a joiner and noticed this) the kitchen arrived on saturday 6th August, we paid 1500 quid. Most of it is installed however we have a door and drawer carcasses missing, I have to say the quality of the units in relation to the cost is quite good. We got a oven and dishwasher in with the price which was excellent. We have rung kitchens uber with regards to our missing parts and were told they would be delivered when a driver was in our area within the next 20 working days. I have no doubt some people will have felt "scammed" or short changed by uber however i implore you to check all units if possible before paying and i belive if you do you will receive the kitchen you expect. There after sales team isnt fantastic, however i havent yet been hung up on or ignored. If you are looking for a budget kitchen that does the job and looks fairly decent pay 1500 quid if not i would suggest go to a more expensive kitchen supplier with a better after sales care team. Hope you all get your problems resolved. And just finally Cindy i dont work for kitchens uber.

I am a kitchen fitter working in the West Midlands. I have come across these people on about a dozen of occasions. they are known as : the kitchen factory, affordable kitchens, uber, rock solid and several other names. they all have several things in common. really bad quality hard back carcasses possibly manufactured by themselves. these are made of the cheapest chipboard, with mis-drilled holes and badly positioned backing grooves. with them they supply the dodgiest legs i have ever seen. it is a matter of moving the unit once and a leg is certain to be broken. the fronts are obviously sourced from various places. some are real wood, some mdf, but they all seem to be clearance or graded as they are often dirty or slightly damaged. the hinges are supplied with screws which can only go into mdf, if you try to drive them into acual wood they will break off. worktops are usually ok, although i've had 1 case where they were badly scratched. they provide you with the cheapest possible sinks out of the original packging and the free tap is a piece of garbage sold on ebay for 20 quid. often there are no corner posts, and if there are they are mis matched mdf with real woodfronts. the guys who 'design' these have rarely any idea about it, and fitting it always is a diseaster. missing parts, missing units, broken bits, kitchens which you can not finish because they have been designed unrealistically. the list is long, and the common denominator is the rude and ridiculous customer care line. these people hang up on you, yell at you, tell you that you are lying. I've had 4 kitchens which i could not finish for more then several months because that was how long it took to get the missing parts (tried to finish one today as a matter of fact, started in january and 8 months down the line its still not done becaus ewhen they finally sent the broken part it was not the right one). I had one which I finished off after their fittters abandoned the job after several attempts, and the customer got the missing parts from b&q (it didn't look the best with two different types of white doors). PEOPLE, AVOID THESE AT ALL COST!! why would someone be daft enough to give an untracable cash deposit to some dodgy door to door salesman who draws a kitchen plan on paper. for crying out loud you can get the same from b&q, just ignore their dsign service and fitting. find a fitter who has a trade account with them and you can get a 10 unit kitchen fitted with sink and tap for around £1300. and if there is something wrong you just go and swap it right there and then.

I cant believe that someone as crappy as these crooks can actually operate and get away with it.

My father fitted my kitchen and is a joiner with over 40 years in the trade, his opinion was that some of the parts were crap and poorly made eg. i think he said CAM? if that makes sense? mentioning some of them snapped when turning them? HOWEVER he said for the 1500 quid i paid the quality was relatively very good. How you manage to get a decent quality kitchen from B&Q for that price even at trade prices in MY opinion is absurd and unrealistic.
I may be wrong but i cant imagine getting the same as i got from kitchens uber for the same price (dishwasher and double oven that both work fine) 3 lengths of worktop in like a black gloss effect & maple shaker doors + sink/tap/carcasses etc.
I would say as long as you go through everything with a fine toothpick upon delivery (even get the delivery driver to sit down and have a brew) then you can end up with a decent kitchen.
Can i also mention i am a electrician. when installing my Double electric oven i originally installed on My RCD side of the consumer unit, however new electric ovens are notorious for nuisance tripping when brand new and would advise anyone to install it on a normal BS60898 circuit breaker for a week or so until all the parts have settled then switch it over to a RCD protected circuit. Hope this helps!

Yes! There is a possibility that Cindy (like the rest of us who have been robbed!) is needing checked out..........mentally,as after dealing with these moron imbeciles you start to get so angry and depressed at the way you have been treated AFTER they have robbed you! I was promised a surveyor 3 weeks ago.....still waiting yet a woman from Fife who was given my name called them to ask about cancellation after hearing my story and guess what????Yep,a surveyor dropped in to her all the way from Yorkshire to "go over her measurements & reassure her"obviously as she hasn't paid the £2,600 balance!!!!! So until you have the experience that the rest of us have had I wouldn't go calling people names until you have been mentally tortured by these thieves! As I have already stated earlier I have half a kitchen (no handles, missing doors, burst backs, holes in doors, sink too small, wrong taps.......I could go on!!!! Court it is!

Hi Patricia, I can assure you that everything I have said in my comments are spot on and have to be,now that jt is being investigated by a third party. As I stated previously, you should go to-"canyoutrustthem.com"and type in the name.Another website naming them is"kitchens rip off".The "designer" who visited me said they sell 400-700 kitchens per week!!!!! I would expect more than the 2 or 3 "good" reviews.I just wish I was in the position to lose the £100 deposit I paid instead of the full amount! The very fact that they have numerous names says it all. Hope this helps and you haven't already paid on delivery.
